TAIWO OMOTUNDE   THE GOVERNING BODY OF PERFORMING MUSICIANS EMPLOYERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (PMAN), OYO STATE CHAPTER, HAS ENJOINED MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO DISPLAY MATURITY BY OBEYING GOVERNMENT'S MEASURES TO CURB THE SPREAD OF COVID19.   GOVERNOR, OYO STATE PMAN, COMRADE TAIWO OMOTUNDE, WHO MADE THIS KNOWN IN A STATEMENT DISCLOSED HIS FAITH IN GOD THAT THE PANDEMIC PERIOD WOULD BE SOON OVER.   HE HOWEVER CALLED ON OYO STATE GOVERNOR, ENGINEER SEYI MAKINDE TO  CONSIDER THE  MUSICIANS IN THE STATE AS BENEFICIARIES OF PALLIATIVES MEASURE AS THEY ARE BECOMING MOST VULNERABLE NOW.  COMRADE OMOTUNDE FURTHER  SAID THAT DESPITE THE HARDSHIP THAT MUSICIANS ARE PRESENTLY FACING, THEY ARE AT THE FOREFRONT OF THE CAMPAIGN FOR THE AWARENESS OF THE PUBLIC.

Managing director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Usman Mohammed has said that the federal government cannot provide free electricity to Nigerians. Speaking on Thursday April 16, the head of the agency owned by the federal government said the proposal for "free electricity" is mere propaganda. Usman said;  “There is this information that went round that power is going to be free. I don’t know where that information came from.  “But I can tell you that there is nothing like power is going to be free because the federal government cannot make power free. The federal government does not own the power. “In the electricity industry, apart from transmission, which is just the transporter, all the other chains do not belong to the federal government.
